Document Retrievals are one thing, but I think (i could be wrong) that Judy was referring to an order where they want you to get the current deed and any open mortgages they may have.  To me, that is basically a current owner search... minus some of the other important item that I feel should be checked (but that is my opinion).  They think that they are saving us a lot of time, and they should be cheaper - HOWEVER, it doesn't take that much longer to check for the other things and we are still incurring substantial liability if something is missed.

We do Document Retrievals fairly inexpensively... when the company has specific information regarding a specific document they want.  These other requests, however, are looking for any open mortgages and the current deed - that is not a Doc. Retrieval in my opinion.
