Hi Heather, So you file a mortgage to be recorded via their e-recording application, you pay the mortgage taxes and other fees. Then I guess the clerk found something wrong with the e-recording, like the margins were too small (or too big), and they insist you record it again. Then you have to pay to record it again AND pay the mortgage taxes again? That is astounding. Just trying to wrap my wits around that. Seems like there must be some government agency to report this to... Good luck. I hope you get all the extra dough you paid them back quickly.
