I was contacted by a different company about 5 years ago who wanted me to pay to play.

I declined the offer because I couldn't get a clear answer from them about getting paid for orders that didn't close; or if they would reimburse my fees if their client went under and couldn't/wouldn't pay them.  They also did not want me to raise my fee to cover what they were planning to charge me.

Additionally, they couldn't provide any guarantees that my credit card information would be held under lock & key.  I was unfamiliar with the company; didn't know how many employees would have access to my cc info and did not want to take a chance.
