Judy, there's absolutely no need to be embarrassed about being ripped off. The fact is that EVERYONE--myself included--has the potential to be taken advantage of, no matter how "street-smart" and saavy we think we are. Besides, one of the purposes of this forum is to alert others to scams like the one you described.
One of the objectives of the Association we're forming is to put together a training and mentoring program which would assist individuals such as yourself in learning the business...without you putting out hundreds (or perhaps thousands)of dollars.
Thanks for letting everyone know about this "course". It took a lot of courage to come forward, and it is appreciated.
