Interesting that the two women who complained the most on this forum about people not being included in the planning of the association have created their own association with out consulting any of us.
I also find it ironic that they are taking advantage of Source of Title's FREE services to launch their own competing service for a FEE. I considered deleting the post, since it is mainly a solicitation for a paid service, but I'm sure you will see it for what it really is.
If you have any doubts, please see
NATP's filing with the Georgia Secretary of State. It clearly shows in bright red letters the words DOMESTIC PROFIT.
In contrast, please see
NALTEA's filing with the Ohio Secretary of State. It shows that NALTEA is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION.
If you think this isn't important,
please click here to read an email from Jan Forster, the Interim V.P. of The National Association of Title Professionals. This clearly outlines her plans for promoting conferences for monetary gain. Source of Title ignored this rediculous scheme to rip-off our users, and we would not be a part of an association that would consider it.
That all being said, they do have a flashy web site, but we believe that is putting the cart before the horse. NALTEA plans to elect its leadership, of title abstractors, and let them guide the association. Yes, even my position will be up for election at the conference.
Hope to see many of you in Columbus this weekend. We have received many emails from those supporting the organization and they are all greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Robert A. Franco
