I AM IN COOK COUNTY ILLINOIS. DON'T KID YOURSELF, THE BIG VMs ARE THE FIRST TO TAKE ON IN HOUSE ABSTRACTING. MY LARGEST CLIENT RECENTLY WENT ON LINE W/THE COUNTY AND ALSO W/ PROPERTY PROFILE, A PRIVATE PLANT. IT HAS COST ME 80% OF THE ACCOUNT VOLUME. MY CLIENT HAS 40 ABSTRACTORS IN HOUSE AND CONTINUES TO GROW AS MORE AND MORE COUNTIES GO ON LINE. THE VMs ARE DOING JUST WHAT YOU OR I WOULD DO, THEY ARE TAKING CONTROL OF THE COSTS AND TURN TIME. THE VMs MUST KEEP THE COST DOWN DUE TO THE PRESSURE PUT ON THEM BY THE JUMBO LENDERS. BUSINESS AS WE KNEW IT IS OVER. I SAY, PREPARE TO ADAPT TO A NEW ERA. WAIT TIL MERS TAKES MTG RECORDING AWAY.
