There is nothing inherently wrong in working with the national vendors, it is work after all. I do work for a couple of them and like them a lot. My concern is the health of the local operations. These folks are right here in town and easily assesable to the public, and can offer a level of assistance that the nationals cannot. Local customs obviously vary, and only a local can know what is important to the consumer in their area.
I realize that things are changing, but I will not shop at Wal-Mart. I like going to the local grocer, where they know my name and what I like.
I may be a dinosaur on this, but the nationalization of our work makes me nervous. I'm afraid it will lead to lower expectations and lower fees, at best. At worst, it will lead to the overseas outsourcing of our work. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm a worrywart. Doug
