Judy, I do not have a need to bash. If someone has a ligitamate question, If I know the answer, I would be happy to give it. I have not seen many people asking questions of title searching questions on here for a dang long time. And yes, those companies whom hire people new and train them and pay them so cheap are to blame, in my area at least, and they will not take responsibility. They train their new person for a week and throw them out by themselves and if they mess up, they get fired. It isn't their fault they are trained poorly. They don't know any better. ANd it is these same companies who undercut prices so drastically as well. They only are in it for themselves. Which is bad all around for everyone.
My previous and current E&O agent both have told me the insurance has gone up due to ther record number of claims filed against companies and people with less than two years experience. If I can, I will get some documentation from them for you.
I do not think this forum is unfriendly. I think completely the opposite. And I am more than willing to help anyone I can with questions. And I know I don't know the answer to everything either, and someone else may have a better answer than I. I am all for the proper training of abstractors. Why else would I have taken such an active roll on the education and training committee for NALTEA? If there is an issue you would like addressed about training, bring it up and NALTEA can try and incorporate it into a training session of some sort.
So please Judy, don't think I am here to insult anyone for their lack of knowledge. I am not!
