I'm not sure what the other companies are offering. Zenodata is advertising the fact that they offer a product that directly competes with abstractors via an automated title search in 10 minutes. Since they can't offer this for all of their clients needs they are probably using independent abstractors to fill in the gaps. Once they can replace them, they will. At least this is my take on it.
Realty Data seems to be partnering with other companies to do the same thing, like GatorSearch. Though Realty Data has stated that they want to "embrace the abstractor," I don't know what that means yet. They are scheduled to speak at the NALTEA conference and hopefully we will get more information. Thus, I am reserving my opinion of this company.
DataTree and DataTrace I don't know much about. I am still unclear on exactly what they are working on.
I don't have a problem with companies that will be providing tools to help abstractors, but if they are going to directly compete with me then I wouldn't complete searches for them. Any company that offers an alternative to the services I provide will do so without my help.
This issue still needs to be researched, and we are working on it.
Good points...
