In regards to your statement: "There are plenty of abstractors that don't really understand the difference between insured products and non-insured products, between a comittment and a policy." You are correct, but abstractors that don't understand this - shouldn't be abstracting and clients shouldn't be sending them orders. This is the problem when clients just want cheap, fast searches - they need to understand that there is a reason some abstractors are cheaper and faster. Choosing experienced, knowledgable abstractors is the solution.
