I don't think a disclaimer gets you anywhere. The work you may lose from trying this will not be offset by the work you could get by putting yourself out there. Most clients expect you to have some liability for your work, why else use your services. Regardless of anything you may try to put out to the client regarding your liabilty, if it is not a bilateral contract, you will be sued if there is a claim.
The important thing to do is to bill accordingly. We need to make sure that we bill a fee that not only covers our work time, but also consider our exposure on each search. If the search feels funny, bill more. Doug
