I agree with Robert and Jay on this one. I am hoping that NALTEA will be able to acquire a reduction in E & O insurance, possibly group insurance, and many other benefits. Have any of you ever joined NASE? I did for a few years and got insurance under them.. it was great...however, the only thing missing with them was that it was not fine tuned to my industry needs. I can see NALTEA as being just what an independent abstractor needs.
When the certification questions came up on the website, I replied with some title questions and issues that were just North Carolina law related. Did Shannon and the others make allowances for differing laws on the certification test? You see I may not be able to pass that test if I don't have a study guide or such because we do things different in North Carolina even from South Carolina. So if you have a GA or VA question in there how would I know the answer?
Thank you all for the efforts that you put into the SOT. Little did I know that the business card someone put in the break room at Georgetown County Register of Deeds office in South Carolina would open up such tremendous knowledge and help in my line of business. Not to mention the leads that SOT has given me from attorneys to title companies that tell me that they got my name from the SOT website. Many, many thanks. THEREFORE, I can only look forward to the time that I join NALTEA for the benefits that it will give me. Can I say THANKS many, many more times...... Donna
