Every business should obtain a credit line to help with cash flow problems but those problems should only be considered when business is slow - bigger businesses can obtain bigger credit lines and should pay their invoices with it - at least always have some money coming to the smaller businesses like Robert said, or as someone else said above, on a weekly basis. Being on the bottom line with our profit line so low right now no one should be taking the chance of not getting paid at all. Most of us, as in discussions recently, dropped the client no matter how good the client was or suspended work with them because of non-payment. Bottom line my opinion is I would not accept no money coming in - would not work with a company with that scenario - if a good client and they are attempting to get something to me all the time and I have discussed the situation with them, I may continue for a little bit but watch very careful - good intentions could sour.
