Thanks you guys!  The ladies I spoke w/were very nice;  I feel okay doing the work for them. I did send the invoice w/the work as I was told they would send a check the same day.  We'll see.  Sorry if I sounded skeptical but I'm a little weary of hounding people to pay me. (But I do, and have eventually always gotten my money except if they are bankrupt).  I probably should check companies out but I haven't so far, this long; just try to trust people.  I have dial-up here so really, web searches, the internet, really annoy me.  (Old computer too!!)  Thanks again--and I'll try to check out the website & other info youse have given.
