this can be a very sticky area. A standardization of fees can be construed as "Price Fixing", very illegal, or we would have to form a union. I have no desire to form a union and I will not get into a discussion about the pros and cons of forming one. IMHO NALTEA will not become a union. Yes we can agree not to lower our fees, raise our fees, or keep them the same, but to come up with one standard fee across the country would be impossible and again price fixing. Each area of the country have different cost of livings, distances to courthouses, indirect and direct routes, different copy charges and other factors involved.
Prices are not the only selling point of the services that we offer. What kind of service are we offering? Is it friendly? Is it consitent? Is it quick? Are phone calls returned quickly? Are we taking the time to communicate with them? We must make those important to our customers otherwise they will leave us for price.
