Loretta - I know when attitude can cause a problem. However, it can be both sides - remember that. Could be that he has dealt with incompetence over the last months or year - and it might be their fault for not checking out the experience o the abstractor - but we all have bad days and we are all human - we all make mistakes. It is really a shame when one bad day can effect the relationship of the abstractor and the company but it does happen. I know once a company called me and said my boss said he didn't have the same vol/pages that you did and could you recheck the order. Well I didn't know at the time that anyone is started with anything to begin a sea rch with and responded - I would be happy at anytime to recheck something but you don't have to make excuses to get me to do it. It absolutely set this woman off at the company and even after an apology letter that it seems everyone that day was giving me excuses for "check not being there", oh we didn't receive the order - I guess what you said tipped the iceberg. From that day they never sent me an order for a long time - and to their loss - then all the sudden like a year later they wanted me back big time. It is just a shame that little comments can set companies off to the point that their employees think they are big and bad and make terrible business decisions on behalf of their company. They think we are the little guy and they can do anything or treat us anyway they want. I think that some companies are learning otherwise lately. As I tell everyone - your company is only as good as the abstractor completing the work. If you don't think so - you eventually will not only think but come to realize the truth after it almost costs them their clients and their reputation. I sincerely believe in karma - I am highly spiritual - probably because I was given great gifts by God and understand more than most - that everything that you are comes back to you and everything that someone else is comes back to them - in some way, sometime - and only God has control on how he wants the lesson to be learned - but he will make sure you learn it - its God's promise to us all. So you can lie to your abstractors, you can lie to your companies - you can do just about anything you want - but based on what you do - God has plans - and he never breaks his promises.
