...its too bad its after the fact...obtaining that information from forward on is not that big of a deal to those companies. And it is unfortunate that the only ones who benefit from the law are the ones who know how to jump through the gaping loopholes while the rest of us hire interpretors and arrive at conclusions two or more years later.
...dont county recorders get together occasionally for educational purposes and statute changes? You would think some of them, not just in Ohio, but across the country would start raising red flags about this stuff. A few years back, I started purchasing CDs of deeds every time I ordered an old deed copy from the County of St Louis- it was cheaper to get the disc. I haven't done that recently because it takes too long to get the copy...but it only reinforces the fact that we pay for large companies to take advantage of the law...
