Just my opinion but you are already giving them a reduction in their overhead at the expensive of your variable cost. If you key the information into their web site then you are providing them with an additional service previously provided by one of their employees. I don't have a problem with that but it seems to me if they want this added service they should be willing to pay for it.
Another problem with keying in to a clients web site is it will prolong the time it takes us to return the report. Our mobile office systems allow us to access the internet but only at dialup speed. If we have to click through several screens to get to the input screen it can take a long time. On the other hand, I know of one company that provides an excel spreadsheet with the orders and a place to key in the information. This is less troublesome as we simply key the information in and email the excel page back to them. This seems to me to be a better solution and would speed things up for everyone concerned.
