The affidavit was notarized, but in WI that really means very little. I reported it as open on my report, but showed the affidavit. This whole search was pretty messy. Another mortgage was satisfied, then re-recorded with no changes 3 days after the satisfaction. And, the total open mortgage is about 300% of the value of the home. Sketchy. I guess I would feel more comfortable if there was an attorney name or title company shown on the affidavit, you know? I'm just glad I don't have to clear this title!
