I agree whole-heartedly with your sentiments. I know that I do not try to post anything that is going to cause controversy, rather they are simply my views on what the business is and where it is going. Sometimes there are people that will disagree, though I beieve that stimulates a healthy exchange of ideas...
I think the ability to communicate with abstractors/examiners around the country is a good way to get this very obscure profession some recognition and have all that partake in the title business begin to work together toward the betterment of the industry - something that I have, sad to say, seen little of in the NYC area.
The end result of sites like this is that people will begin to work together. Once that is achieved, counties that simply do whatever it is that they please (for example - the ACRIS system in NYC, which was created with VERY little input from the people who actually work on it everyday) will have to listen to the GROUP of professionals in the business, rather than ignore individuals in the business...
Bravo to the creators of this site. Keep up the good work...
