Robert - For all you know it could be "OUR FRIEND" again - lol - did you ever think about that - the message certainly seems it comes from someone of that caliber. Who else could complain that after receiving something free for sometime they now have to incur a small fee to keep the site going? While such an email doesn't deserve a response, a professional way might be to respond to it and say "I would love to provide to you a free service forever if I could but it has become to the point that in order to expand and provide what every member desires and wants out of this site, a small charge to offset expenses has to be made. If you choose not to pay the subscription price - you still get to list your business name and visit the forums for free - it is just the added anmenties that are now by subscription." And leave it at that - you shouldn't have to do that but I do believe that everyone is important to me and my business - even the postman if he has concerns - so I would respond but know that someone will always be upset and someone will always be happy - because you cannot possibly please everyone all the time. It is just plain facts and human nature.
