I see a lot of second mtgs, helocs, w/the legal being "the same property as described in bk/pg as conveyed to..." that's it. They may put in the tax parcel #. One county here, indexes by the address, as shown on the security deed instead of by the legal. Big problem. Well, a couple of weeks ago, found a loan in the index (and it's also online that way) where the property address was actually the banks address-a typo from whomever typed the security deed. There are many other instances where I find misinformation, like when one owns adjacent or other property. I would think that these loan companies would be concerned that about having the correct legal for properties they are securing--but guess many don't.
