I believe you are misunderstanding what I am talking about. They are taking a metes and bounds description that is sometimes a page or two long, where it goes this direction and that (I like to describe it as the drunk legal, where the drunk staggered this way until he tripped over the rock, then staggered this way until he ran into the tree) and reducing it down to that abbreviated legal of "Part of..." and nothing further to describe it beyond the section, township and range.
