George I knew what you were getting at your first post. An alternative could be that immediate termination would have to be because of your service to the company; otherwise, it would also require a 30 day notice to you. I agree with you that some where, some how we have to begin to have some kind of leverage would you say or gain the same ability to have commitments from the company. I do not agree with Kevin that it is the nature of the business and has to remain as such. There are abstracting companies that do have companies sign agreements and are "lock-in" with that company for sometimes more than one year. I'm sure it has a clause that it can be terminated for work performance but if you do quality work you don't have to worry about things like that.
