George, I was talking about closings..not abstracting. In response to your question, yes I do think the system would run more smoothly if there were fewer players involved in each closing transaction. I have performed closings under both systems. When you have one person supervising the closing it is done faster and more efficiently than having five or six people involved in it. The problem under the current system is is a failure to coordinate information and emergencies that arise from the last minute rush. Under the old system these problems were kept to a minimum.
