Just thought everyone might want to take a look at this...read from the bottom up

I appreciate your concern. If any one needs to speak with me, they can call me directly. I have no interest in message boards.

Why do you think it’s ok for title/vendor management companies to threaten to drop abstractors for lack of cooperation or lack of performance, but it’s not ok for abstractors to let each other know when they’re in danger of not being paid?  I know there are some scummy abstractors out there, but the majority are hard working, honest people that are fronting the money for Titlesearch and then not being paid back, even for their expenses.  I appreciate that the forum is available for us.  In the past, I’ve actually defended Titlesearch, so don’t think that I’m bashing the company.  I understand that companies fall on hard times, and because they’re a Stewart agent, I’m willing to work with them.  What I think is unprofessional is ignoring phone calls, ignoring the bills and not communicating with your “stupid abstractors” at all.

I guess I really don’t care where you work, although I think it’s funny that you have a NY phone number, but have no association whatsoever with Titlesearch.  You stood up for them on the forum.  You provided your phone number and you said you didn’t need to hide behind a message board.  Now you have nothing to do with them and you can’t do anything about the payment problems that were the issue to begin with.

Don, I would appreciate a response to this, and I’m sure it would help your company to have you actually post something yourself on sourceoftitle.com to let all the “stupid abstractors” know your stance on the posting by Margaret and what your plan is to get people paid.  I know you’re getting these emails, because I have your read receipts.

I don't work for TitleSearch for one thing. I live in California. My whole point is that if abstractors had any deceny or level of professionalism, they wouldn't go bad mouthing clients all over website message boards. I could care less how or when you receive your payments, that's your business, not mine. However, I do think the abstractors need to grow up and handle this matter in a professional and legal manner, rather than in the way in which they have been. Its the way abstractors act that make title companies refer to them as "stupid abstractors".

Anyway,  I have nothing to do with TitleSearch's operations, accounting or anything other matters in regards to their business. So don't come looking for money from me, sorry can't help you there.

I just had the pleasure of reading your post on www.sourceoftitle.com from May.  It was quite a surprise to see someone who is employed by and whose family owns a company, accusing their SERVICE PROVIDERS of having their “panties in a bunch”.  If you were trying to help, maybe you could have answered your abstractors’ concerns about payment, instead of telling them to “grow up”.

Would you like to know how I was finally paid $3,000 a couple of months ago?  I called **, the senior auditor for Stewart Title Guaranty in <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = U2 />New York.  My company is owned by Stewart, so I asked if he could place a phone call to Don for me.  I also advised him of all the postings on Source of Title about non-payment.  He went into your family’s company and did an audit, right then.  * had Don write me a check in front of him and * put it in the mail to me.  Now, your family’s balance with my company is up to $1,800 and I have no problem letting * collect a check again.

You said on the forum that you weren’t going to hide behind your posting, and you provided your phone number, so I’m sure you could save Don quite a bit of time and hassle if you would just let me (and the other abstractors) know when they can expect to be paid for the work they’ve already done.
