It is great to see so many communities reaching out to help those displaced by the hurricane. The schools opening up to them is crucial, also. It may be easy to overlook things like that when the priority is on food and shelter (... and rightly so).
I know that Capital University Law School has opened its doors to any displaced law students to continue their education. They have said that if any law students from the affected areas are nearby they are welcome and the publishers are even donating the course books, I believe. It is something that I hadn't even thought about until they made the announcement.
In the media coverage of the devastation, it is easy to lose focus of all of the things beyond life saving efforts. It is nice to know that so many communities are doing what they can to help in all aspects of the tragedy.
