NALTEA does have a Code of Ethics which can be viewed at http://www.naltea.org/ethics.pdf
Again with a young association that is still in it's beginning stages we are short members on committees. Once the Code of Ethics was put together, the procedure to file a grievance fell to the back burner.
I do not foresee NALTEA setting or suggesting prices for searches.
It all comes down to abstractors who want to get involved AND work on committees.
You remember JFK, ok some of you remember JFK, I remember watching a replay of a speech in which he stated "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". I believe that was pretty close, but the point is if you are not willing to work for a better association then what do you expect to get out of it?
I know Smitty I was quoting a Democrat, but it is a Republican idea.
