If you’re using SoftPro (and SP has around 90% market share in the Carolinas), you may want to look into the 360 / Sync modules within SoftPro.
We’ve developed an API with SoftPro via ‘Sync’ and are currently in beta testing with two of our larger law firm clients that—to address the Q raised in your post—permits bilateral data flow and workflow management capabilities: essentially our respective systems ‘talk’ to one another directly and all orders / status updates are visible in dashboard format.
There are any number of vendors / service providers of all stripes (from Fed Ex to title underwriters to everything in between) that have modules within the SoftPro environment that keeps everything in one place and is much easier to manage vs. going outside the environment to the web or to email.
I practiced dirt law for over 10 years & had my own firm which, at its largest, had 70 employees across 3 states. Scalability—operationally and from the IT side—are key to any growth strategy. Sold my practice about 2 years ago and are involved with several non-legal startups, with this title abstracting business being the exception. My wife runs the day-to-day, and I’m focused on BD and IT / operational scalability (thus posting under her login!).
