Why did they have to lay off 60 people? Could it have anything to do with the way they
were pricing? My experience (over 28 years in the industry) tells me that you have to
charge a fair price, but a price that will allow you to stay in business. Duh, I would think
that anyone would know that.
From my observations these national companies are cutting their own throats with these unrealistic
pricing schemes, and now they are going to be the one's to vanish from the title business, not the
abstractors who charge fairly in their area, provide prompt and accurate work, and maintain a client list of local attorney's and lenders.
Sorry for all the posts today, but most of my courthouses are closed for Mardi Gras, so I"m bored.
