I couldn't agree more! Why is it that this industry requires licensing for title agents, real estate agents, real estate brokers, mortgage brokers, appraisers, surveyors, etc.? Yet, the one person whose job it is to report whether the title is marketable can be anyone with $99 and an afternoon to spend taking an on-line course (and, actually, that isn't even a requirement). It makes no sense to me.
