David - I have a really good set of "Abstract Standards" from one of the land title associations that I would be willing to submit to any NALTEA approved committee. (Do I hear a volunteer? :) )
The standards are guidelines, recognizing that all counties are set up differently and have different capabilities for searching. The key thing, I think, is that they suggest that if a "standard" is not followed, that the abstractor put on a disclaimer, to protect himself, and to inform the client as to what they are and are not getting. Let me know your thoughts, David, and everyone else too! Jeanne
