Excellent question... we need more "on-topic" posts here.
We use a service called Data On Call and we have been very happy. They have various pricing plans and I'm not they are the cheapest, but I think they are reasonable. Our pricing plan is $95/mo and includes 1,300 pages, after that they are $0.08 per page. We also have a toll-free fax number included in that price.
Last month, we had 1,922 pages and our bill was $144.76. Our long distance used to cost us about $60/mo and we had 2 dedicated fax lines that we were able to get rid of which saved us about $100/mo. So, it has actually saved us some money. We have also been trying to reduce our faxes by utilizing more e-mail when we can.
I would also like to add that the Data On Call service has been VERY reliable. We have had no outages or delivery problems. I have thought about looking for a less expensive solution, but it works so well that I don't want to take a chance on switching to a less reliable service to save a few more dollars.
Best,
Robert A. Franco
