Ditto on the Brother - I use as a scanner - I got the one that had the scanner, copier and printer w/o the fax - I wanted the fax different - have a very reasonably priced Cannon Faxphone L75 that you can dial a number, it starts to scan, while it is sending the first, you can dial a second and start it scanning, very quick. But my personal opinion about getting faxes and sending is like the others have said. I am notifying my clients that I will not be receiving faxes. If they can't afford scanning and sending in this day and age, I don't need the orders. I have so few clients that actually fax that it is a waste of money to pay for the phone line as I live in an area that has an extended area charge on top of the phone bill. I have had my Brother since 2000 and never a problem with it. The only reason I need to upgrade to another Brother is that it is not compatible with my new HP4 and even upgrading the Paperport software for my HP made the printer not compatible with the upgraded software. That is what they do to make us purchase a newer product when our other one works just fine. Except in my case - just decided to keep the scanner on the old computer and use it for scans and accounting work only.
Hope we all helped a little bit! Question - have any of you told client's you are not accepting orders by fax anymore?
