Just received a call for a mortgage signing last night...obviously Indian. The call was late and they wanted the signing done last night. I normally charge an additional preminum fee for last minute accomodations. When I quoted my fee, the other party became quite exasperated, and asked..."How do you expect us to make any money ?" My response was "Increase your fee, but we are not reducing ours." He sounded very frustrated. Possibly the time has come for everyone to hold firm on their fees. The low ballers are caught in the middle between their contractual obligations to their clients and the realities of the market prices.
