I just got done taking them to small claims.  That was the only way I got paid for the work.  Phone call after phone call, email after email.  And they do like to argue about not having an invoice for this that or the other.  It was definately a pain that I did not get reimbursed for, as far as extra time and effort, going to court, but they got the point, and hopefully I've gotten enough word out locally that they won't be able to accomplish any title searches in the near future,.
