You know...it never ceases to amaze me how the abstractors consistently operate from a position of fear rather than a position of strength. If you are that concerned about this matter...spend a couple of bucks, and take it to an attorney for a legal opinion. It seems unlikely that there is a basis for a claim if no one has incurred any damages, but that opinion is better left to a local attorney in your area. If anything the money you pay him will buy you some peace of mind. It is just one of the costs of doing business.
If a claim has been asserted against you, it may also be a good idea to notify your e&o insurance carrier immediately...otherwise they may deny coverage for the claim because the notification to them was untimely.
