I attended Title Camp and had a good time and came away with a wealth of knowledge!
I want to thank Naltea for hosting the Camp and Lynn for being there because she was wonderful!
I want to give Jan Forester a big round of applause for coming up with the idea of applying Camp to the Title Industry.
There were abstractors there that were from areas that were turning work away and abstractors there that were looking to find ways to market more services to clients to get through slow times.
Here are just a few topics that were covered. I am sure that Jan will give more details soon!
~Spoke / debated online records
~Spoke about more education for the title abstractor
~Collection agency for Title Abstractors
~Diversification when things are slow
~E & O Coverage
~Naltea Certification / Education
~How to market ourselves to new clients or existing clients (if we add a new service)
~Software for reports
~Pricing (Too high / Too low / When to raise prices)
~Turn around times
~Title Insurance Policies
~Standing firm on pricing
~Making sure we are seen as a profession
I am sure there are 10 things that I am leaving out but we covered topics that were important to every abstractor in the room.
