Yeah, I will never forget the first ALTA/ACSM survey I saw. It was on a local factory, a rather small factory, and the detail was amazing. We unrolled it across a large conference table. The stripes in the parking lot, man hole covers, sidewalks, etc., were all drawn to scale. I half expected one of the notation to indicate the number of blades of grass in the lawn.

I have an immense respect for surveyors.
