The premise is based on your belief that Title Companies are not trying to increase efficiency and reduce in-house costs. I have seen Title Companies do both (AND in some cases ask for a reduction from Abstract contractors).
I would say the majority of Closing companies have laid workers off not just to 'maintain profits", but to stay in business.
I am curious - as I'm always looking for something in a process that can be made more efficient. (not always successful mind you)....
.....why would someone think a Title company should attack efficiency to keep their head above water with less revenue....yet not think the Abstractor should not attack their own efficiency with less revenue?
I don't think ANYONE would ever claim to be 100% efficient. In fact, if a person is 85% efficient - that's a darn high number based on studies I read years ago and actual docs from Corporate America.
Not bashing in here - please don't read this wrong. I'm curious as to the defensive posture and seemingly distaste for the Searcher's ... CLIENT.
