I wonder where the IRS stands on this issue. These larges companies in my opinion are clearly crossing the line of the employer/employee line. I know as I have been there (audited once where I was accused of the contractors being employees).
These companies are determining the price, the timeframe, the forms we use, how we preform our work. These are all used in detremining employer/ employee relationship. Along with the biggest issue E & O insurance demands they no longer incur any loss.
So the ? here is ''Are we now employees?". It seems to me that we are so IRS where are you? Maybe you should be looking at the control that these large compnies have over the independent contractor...............
