Deborah, Wanda Steudel is the person to ask. She does these all the time. I've done a few for her, but we never found any. The only way to check for them is to make sure that you have check all known indices in the records room. Here in SC, some counties have the mysterious "miscellaneous lien" book. In VA, you're pretty safe, it should be in the grantor's book. Aaah, memories of the easy times of abstracting in VA....
