Just a word of caution...when someone urges a party not to do business with another party he/she runs the risk of being sued for tortious interference with contracts, tortious interference with business advantage and/or unfair trade practices. That is not to say that they would necessarily win their suit, but you would still need to go through the time, effort and expense in defending.
While questioning a lender, title company or signing service about payment for your services may be appropriate under certain circumstances...be careful to avoid exposure to the liability of the above referenced causes of action for a suit.to post a reply:
