I have to concur. This is a terrible time to get into the abstractor market. I simply author, speak and teach about title abstracting and my business is gone. My last mailing for a seminar showed over 30 per percent of those I mailed to were no longer in the business. And the major underwriters that can survive the bad market are sending their work overseas. Best to be realistic and look for something stable. I wish you luck.
