Scott~
When our family moved back to the Piedmont a year ago, we had to provide our sons' high school an original contract to purchase on the home we had a pending closing on before we could enroll our boys. We had a gap period of about 2 weeks when we moved from Elizabeth City to the Salisbury area on closing on the house here, but we still needed to get them into school before the 2 week period. We were told that the Rowan County school system didn't used to be that strict, but apparently there were folks "living with grandma" so they could play baseball, football or basketball for a certain school. I guess parents can be creative, but now they really crack down on living in the correct district in order to attend the schools.
