Hey Rob, I think it is great you pay your examiner's regardless of the turn-around time and I don't think that makes you (as you said) an idiot . I have a good working relationship with my clients and bill them weekly. They know I have nothing to gain not turning over the work asap, But they also know there will be title's that will take longer then other's. I think only if an examiner tell's there client if the title is not back in 24hr's it's free , only then the client has the right not to pay. But I myself would never make such a claim , I tell all clients what my average turn time is and tell them there's no promise. If I went to the mechanic and he said I will have my car back the same day but he has the car overnight I still pay him , He still did the work. At that point I would be more worried about the extra cost's . Hope your business is doing well, Good Luck!!!!!
