Who's angry? Just because you got owned in this debate and keep trying to change the subject doesn't mean that I'm casting aspersions...I just call them as I see them.
Again, I am making no generalizations. History and the facts are on my side. You, my dear Mr. Ahern, are a victim of the instant gratification society--"if it's not here in 30 minutes or less, I should get it for free." It takes generations for people's hearts and minds to change. As the saying goes, "Rome was not built in a day". Your assertion that:

does not make sense in light of a close examination of the historical record. I will not reiterate my arguments here as they appear to be falling on deaf ears. Remain wilfully ignorant of facts if you must, but please don't accuse me of making excuses or generalizations in order to justify that ignorance. The results speak for themselves, even if they didn't occur fast enough to suit you.
