As an examiner I had voiced all my concerns of all the problems of "on-line title searching" in prior posts on SOT. I won't repeat them all here. However, From a "resident/member of the public" point of view, I want any records that involve my info to be seen by as few as possible. I also want any local jobs to stay local and benefit my community instead of helping those in other parts of the world.
My county went "on-line " and because of many problems (which included public outrage) my county went "off-line" as some other counties have done and many more will follow.I think your jumping on the wrong band wagon because most of america is against having there public info out there for anyone to see. I also think you should dump all your beta-max stock !!!
Identity theft is on the rise and becoming the greatest crime against the public. Granted this is all" public record " and anyone can "go and view" documents at the clerk's , But it was never meant to be sent across the world where anyone can and will compile info on anyone they want .I guess everyone has a different view of the future and we can't all be right, But I hope you don't spend to much time or money on your crusade In the future you see. I think it will be short lived but we will see what happens in the coming years.
