In my county if there is a problem with the computer system or part of the system , a county worker will tell everyone to pass around that there's a problem or they will put it on a post it note and put on the wall in the main hall and at that time we know we have to re-run the affected part of the search at a later date. Most of the times it is one fellow examiners who find the problem and pass the info along.
My county tried but failed to go on line, If I used the online system I would not be privy to the fact I may have to re-check part of my runs. I can go on forever with all the problems with on-line searching , but I will stop here.
