Hmm .. wonder why nobody wants to respond to this lady? I guess if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
From my perspective, try to compare years and see how much (or how little) the agenda and speakers change.
IMO, A good conference will have new ideas, new topics and new speakers each year. A company that simply wants to get its hand in your wallet will have the same schtick each year. The money-grubbers trot out many of the same names because they know them and don't have to do a lot of work.
That's just one thing I consider when I am ready to offer my card number for a conference.
